Former NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones made a surprising confession during a recent appearance on We Got Time Today, Deion Sanders's weekly show on Tubi.
While discussing drug testing in the NFL, Jones openly admitted that despite using marijuana before games during his career, he never failed a league drug test. His reason? He found a way to outsmart the system.
"I cheated the program. I was really good at it," Jones admitted. "People don’t realize how smart I am. But now that I’m done playing, I can say it—I never used my own [urine] for a test. Not once."
Sanders responded by suggesting that avoiding detection would be much harder under today's testing procedures, but Jones disagreed.
"It can still be done if you know what you’re doing," Jones insisted. "Don’t say it can’t happen, Pop."
Sanders pointed out that the NFL’s testing process includes sample collectors being present while players provide their samples, making it nearly impossible to cheat. But Jones remained unconvinced, hinting that there are still ways to get around it. He seemed eager to explain further, but Sanders quickly shut down the conversation before he could reveal more details.
Jones, a first-round draft pick in 2005, played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Titans, Cowboys, Bengals, and Broncos. Over 146 career games, he recorded 17 interceptions and 97 pass defenses before retiring in 2018.
